Gharara Suits

Graceful and timeless, gharara suits consist of a kurta, a dupatta, and wide-legged pants that flare dramatically from the knees. With flowing silhouettes, delicate embellishments, and luxe fabrics, each piece in Lashkaraa’s Gharara Collection is thoughtfully designed to honor tradition while embracing contemporary style.

From pastel hues to rich festive tones, our ghararas are perfect for weddings, Eid, and special gatherings. Paired with short kurtis or long, elegant tops, these ensembles flatter every shape with effortless beauty.

Discover gharara suits that feel as special as the moments they’re made for—crafted with care, rooted in heritage, and ready to be worn with love.

Origin of Gharara

Women of the Mughal era shone in the elegant and resplendent gharara dress. Mughal women preferred to wear the gharara dress for royal occasions. These gharara pants originated in Uttar Pradesh also called the Awadh region. The gharara pants reprised its fashion fervor in the 1970s and 80s and it was largely due to the influx of Bollywood movies. While it was always there in vogue it kind of took a back seat in the late ’80s and saw a rise in the trend in recent years. Popular film actresses had much to do with the style resurgence.
